Under GDPR data must be both accurate and up to date. That means any obsolete or irrelevant data should be removed. By cleansing, enriching and enhancing existing data, obsolete data can be brought back to life leading to a reduction in the amount of data requiring deletion.
Data is uploaded to our secure FTP. We will then provide you with a report that outlining our data findings, it is then up to you what you’d like us to do. We will provide the data back to you, fully cleansed, fully compliant with GDPR, together with any records we removed.
Organisations have until May 2018 to get their data GDPR compliant – data cleansing is our most sought after service right now. Fines for non-compliance can be up to 4% of global turnover, and that’s not counting any negative media feedback.
It will also be necessary for organisations to stay compliant, meaning cleansing data on a regular basis will become the norm. For organisations that haven’t cleansed their data for a while an initial cleanse may yield a high number of records to be removed, 25% removal is not uncommon. However, once the initial cleanse has been completed removal rates will stabilise – we are seeing removal rates of circa 3% month on month for most industries.
We offer a number of cleansing, enrichment and enhancement services, our main ones are listed below:
We have access to over 15 national databases, including Royal Mail’s Redirect database for house movers.
